THINGS TO
Do in Madagascar
Madagascar has numerous activities to offer during your holiday to the big island. There are many types of activities that you can choose from. In Madagascar, you can explore the rainforests to see lemurs or different animals and endemic plants. One option may be, if you wish to travel to the west, to cruise along the Tsiribihina River in a traditional dugout canoe, and then camp for two nights on the sandbank. This type of excursion also takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Tsingy of the National Park Tsingy of Bemaraha, a unique limestone pinnacle rock grouping formed over a million years ago. The west of Madagascar also has the famous avenue of baobab trees near Morondava, which offers unforgettable sunset photos of the baobab alley.
The east of Madagascar is also a very rewarding destination to visit with its location near the capital and its rich biodiversity. The Andasibe National Park is highly recommended for its inhabitant, the biggest living lemur, the indri indri, along with other types of lemurs, active both during the day and night. After such a site, you may choose to finish a tour to the Ile Sainte Marie or return back to Tana and take a flight to Nosy Be for a few relaxing days. The eastern tour of Madagascar can also be combined with the south or the famous RN7 that has many sites and national parks such as Ranomafana National Park, Andringitra National Park, Isalo National Park, and the Zombitse National Park. If you want to try the train ride from Fianarantsoa to Manakara or the other way round, this offers a short detour. The southern part of Madagascar also has fantastic beaches such as the Ifaty or Anakao beaches. Our tour packages offer a variety of options, only some of which have been outlined above.
