Below is the tour programme of the Southern of Madagascar for 11 days.

DAY1: Arrival at the international airport of Tana

Welcoming at the international airport of Tana, meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel.

DAY2: Tana to Antsirabe

We will meet up in your hotel next morning then we proceed along the RN7 following the highland sceneries, rice fields in terraces, red clay houses moved to the west. We will head to Antsirabe.
Antsirabe, which means a place of much salt, is famous four its thermal pools which are rich in healing properties. The town attracts many locals and tourists due to its cool climate and location. Antsirabe is also the capital of rickshaws, and THB, the local beer. Be sure to enjoy the taste of a true Malagasy beer whilst here.

DAY3: Antsirabe to Ranomafana

After breakfast and city tour with rickshaws known locally as push push, we will drive to Ranomafana NP.
We head to the beautiful and lush Ranomafana rainforest. The name means hot water, and relates to the natural hot water springs that you can experience here. We stop in Ambositra for lunch. This pretty little town is known as the capital of woodcarving; possibility to visit artisan markets, this is also a good place to buy souvenirs whilst you are in the capital.
The National Park was created in 1991 in order to protect the newly discovered, unique "Bamboo lemur. Arrival in Ranomafana in the afternoon. Possibility to go at a night walk to spot nocturnal lemurs, chameleons & frogs.

DAY4: Ranomafana

Exploring of Ranomafana. This is the best reserve for lemurs' encounters; no fewer than 12 species are seen in the park.
This includes the most notable two species: the golden bamboo lemur and the greater bamboo lemur. Other mammals include the Malagasy striped civet (strictly nocturnal) and Ranomafana NP is an excellent chance of seeing it, eastern ring-tailed mongoose belongs to the endemic subfamily Galidiinae.We will also see many species of birds, chameleons ..;

DAY5: Ranomafana to Andringitra

Today we continue the trip along the National7; we pass through the capital of the Betsileo Tribe, Fianarantsoa, which means place of good learning. The Betsileo Tribe is well known for being invincible !!! We then head to Ambalavao, which is a very beautiful and quaint town. A visit to a local workshop gives you an opportunity to see the craftsmen and women at work.Ambalavao is the starting point of the visit of Andringitra NP known as the best trek of Madagascar and this is the 2nd highest mountain.

Ambalavao(1000m) - Car Park (1500)- Waterfall of - Belambo (1550m)
Including: 4x4 Transfer Ambalavao the parking of Namoly. Visit waterfalls (both sacred waterfalls), and spent the first night at Belambo campsite (camping).
Easy walking & 80m (+ drop)
Highlights: waterfall +oldcaves +endemic birds

DAY6: Belambo (1550m) - ANDREAMPOTSY (2050m) - PIC BOBY (2658m) - ANDRANOLAVA (2000m)

We will leave Belambo campsite after breakfast, we will walk uphill for about 1h 10min walk through the forest of "Philippia" before reaching the first plateau of the park, and continues until the second highest peak Boby Madagascar. We descend to reach the Andranolava campsite (2000m). We will relax next to the natural swimming pool in the afternoon.
Highlights: panoramic view to the waterfalls and Namoly Valley, crossing the mountain range and endemic vegetation + 360 ° panoramic peak Boby + natural swimming pool in the afternoon.
Difficulty: medium with steps (stairs) 6hrs walk.

DAY7: ANDRANOLAVA (2000m) - Diavolana linear landscape (2200m) - PARKING (1500m)

We will leave ANDRANOLAVA and walk uphill to the second plateaux to reach the linear likelandscape (Diavolana) and down to the parking, where we will be picked by our 4WD to drive back to Ambalavao.
Chighlights: Strong resemblance to the lunear landscape hence the name of the circuit "Diavolana" for Malagasy(with rocks interspersed with small shrubs + panoramic valley west "Tsaranoro Valley." Difficulty: medium, 4 hours walk.

DAY8: Ambalavao to Ranohira

We will stop at ANJA Park, which is a sanctuary of ring- tailed lemurs and this reserve was created by the local village to protect the fauna in Madagascar. It's a perfect opportunity to come close to the lemurs, take some great photos and witness how local villages can make a positive impact on protecting the environment. After lunch we continue our trip till Ranohira by passing through the non man land plateaux of Horombe;
Arrival at Ranohira by the end of the afternoon. Possibility to visit the natural rock windows for sunset photos.

DAY9: Isalo NP

Today we will explore the natural wonders of Isalo NP which includes canyons, trekking, natural swimming pools and waterfalls. You will see 3 kinds of lemurs, such as the Ring-tailed lemur, Brown lemur and the Sifaka. Birds include the Madagascar Wagtail and Benson's rock thrush which is endemic in Isalo NP. There are also White throated rail, Madagascar kestrel and Madagascar coucal. Overnight at the same hotel.

DAY10: Ranohira to Tulear: 2nd of April 2013

We will head directly to Tulear the capital of the South of Madagascar. This trip will take around 5 hours. We stop at the Arboretum of Antsokay to visit this private arboretum reserve.
We have lunch there, and then transfer to the airport of Tulear following your domestic flight schedule. Arrival in Tana then transfer to your hotel.

DAY11: International airport transfer

Before we transfer you to the international airport of Tana, we will offer a free city tour depending your time. This can be the visit of the Lemur's Park located 23 Km West of Tana or the Queen's Palace located at 18 Km North of Tana following the shopping time at La Route Digue on the way to the airport.
