We are pleased to welcome you to the world of the lndri lndri - the famous teddy bear like lemur, which is also one of the biggest lemurs on the lsland. Enjoy the morning magical call of the indri which you hear deep in the forest. The black and white ruffed lemur only seen at Mantadia in a wild and other kind of lemurs will complete our 2 day visit of Andasibe. In addition to this tour, cruising to the Pangalana Channel to reach the private reserve of Palmarium at the Peninsula of Ankanin'ny Nofy. We will end up the tour with a Whales Watching Tour at lle Ste Marie where magnificent Humpback whales come to the waters of Madagascar to give birth & nurture their young. The best months to visit are July to September. No to forget the relaxing days at the Island of Ste Marie and scuba diving.

Itinerary: Tana - Andasibe - Manambato - Ankanin'ny Nofy - Manambato - Foule Pointe - Soanierana Ivongo - Ste Marie - Tana.

Below is the tour programme of the East of Madagascar for 12 days.

DAY1: Tana or Antananarivo

Welcoming at the international airport of Tana, meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel.

DAY2: Tana to Andasibe

We will meet you at your hotel after breakfast with your driver and then proceed along the RN2 to the east of Tana. We will stop at Pereyras Reptile Reserve to spot reptiles endemic of Madagascar. This is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with these amazing animals!! Lunch in Moramanga after a further 40km of driving. Arrival in Andasibe late in the afternoon. Settle in the hotel. Possibility to go at a night walk to spot the nocturnal lemurs known as the smallest of the lemurs in the world.

DAY3: Mantadia NP

Early in the morning after breakfast, we leave the hotel then drive 18 Km north of Andasibe; Mantadia National Park to look for the elusive black and white ruffed lemur and diademed sifaka. Visit of the private reserve of Vakoana in the afternoon to watch lemurs very close. This is a best place to see them and you can even feed them with banana and stroke with your hands.

DAY4: Analamazaotra or Andasibe NP

Morning expedition to encounter the INDRI known as the world's biggest lemurs with its almost invisible tail; we will also see other species of lemurs such as the brown lemur, bamboo lemur, wooly lemur and other animals such as chameleons, giraffe necked weevil...The NP OF Andasibe hosts a lot of animals -108 species of birds are known in the park.

DAY5: Andasibe to Manambato then, speedy boat to Ankanin'ny Nofy peninsula

Leave ANDASIBE for about 3 hours drive Eastward to Manambato through tropical wetland villages. We have lunch there and take the boat towards Ankanin'ny Nofy which means the Nest of a Dream where you will be surrounded by. Like its name, Ankanin'ny Nofy is a relaxing place with its lovely seaside and lakeside full of vegetation. The edge of the Channel is often bordered by tropical lush vegetation which characterizes the eastern part of the Madagascar. Palmarium is located on a peninsula of 50 hectares beside the Ampitabe lake, which is good for swimming.

DAY6: Palmarium private reserve

Morning expeditions in the forest to see the famous INDRI again-but while you are having breakfast lemurs like: the crowned lemur, black and white ruffed lemur, and the red fronted brown lemurs will play near the restaurant. Afternoon visit to the fishing village of Andranokoditra with the distillery of essential oil from the niaouly plant. Stoll along the beach before heading back to our hotel where a group of local Malagasy from the closest village will put on a performance of Malagasy music before dinner.

DAY7: Palmarium to Manambato then drive to Foulepointe

We will leave Palmarium then sail back to Manambato where we will take the car to drive to Foulepointe.

DAY8: Foulepointe - Soanierana Ivongo - Ste Marie

Transfer to Soanierana Ivongo where we will take a speedy boat to Ste Marie. You will be welcomed by the crew of the hotel then transfer to your hotel.

DAY9 - 10: Ste Marie Island

Day at leisure in Ste Marie. Possibility for a beach excursion to Iles aux Nattes and a seasonal whales watching which takes place every July till September.

DAY11: Ste Marie Airport

Transfer to the airport of Ste Marie following your domestic flight schedule to fly to Tana.

DAY12: International airport transfer

Before we transfer you to the international airport of Tana, we will offer a free city tour depending your time. This can be the visit of the Lemur's Park located 23 Km West of Tana or the Queen's Palace located at 18 Km North of Tana following the shopping time at La Route Digue on the way to the airport.
