Madagascar, flagship destination, is highlighted by the French media. The TF1 channel has dedicated a large line to the Lokobe National Park located north-west of the Big Island, near Nosy Be. A few minutes of sharing and promotion to benefit this unique park in the world.
The Lokobe National Park is dominated by an original forest named Sambirano. A great variety of endemic animals and plants live in the heart of this locality. It is a real crush because it records a large number of visitors each year. The arrival of these tourists is especially noticed in August. They visit Nosy Be, Lokobe Park and its natural riches. The locality of 862ha contains a crystalline sea, a paradise beach and countless marine treasures including the coral reef. The land is home to 3 species of primates, 50 species of reptiles, 14 species of amphibians and 42 species of birds.
The national park of Lokobe is different from the others because of its specificity called "self-interpreting". In other words, this place is visitable alone or unaccompanied by a guide. Visitors have the right to leave without a guide in the heart of the forest. It is very easy to reach via four points: by the city of Nosy Be in 5 to 10 minutes by car, by the loop Ambasindava - Nosy Be then by two pedestrian circuits of Ramy and Mitsinjo. Walking access takes about three hours to reach the heart of the forest.
MNP or Madagascar National Parks is responsible for the management and protection of Lokobe Park. TF1 emphasized this point during his report. The beautiful place is in good hands. This is what encourages the French media such as TF1 to promote it in programs like 50 minutes Inside or the television news. Recall that before TF1, other presses written British, American and French have already been responsible for the promotion of some beautiful places in Madagascar.
